I Vote Because…

its the only time our government is required to listen to us. We can protest, boycott, submit petitions, and make phone calls, but those are pressure campaigns. When we vote, our leaders must listen. There will always be aspirational tyrants and an active, engaged, and well educated citizenry is the single best prevention to autocrat and totalitarian threats.
