  • An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in Nebraska.A number of those are listed below and an exhaustive list can be found here.

    You may file for a Reasonable Impediment Certification for three (3) reasons:

    1. Disability or illness that prevents the voter from obtaining valid photographic identification;

    2. Lack of birth certificate or other required documents and an inability to obtain a birth certificate or other required documents without significant difficulty or expense; OR

    3. Have a religious objection to being photographed

    Valid Forms of ID:

    • Nebraska Driver's License

    • Nebraska State ID

    • Nebraska College ID

    • Nebraska political subdivision ID (county, city, public school, etc.)

    • Military ID

    • Tribal ID

    • U.S. Passport

    • Hospital, intermediate care facility, assisted living facility, or nursing home facility record

  • Nebraska is a "no excuse state" meaning you don't need a reason to vote early by mail.

    1. Be a registered voter in the state of Nebraska

    2. Fill out a Let It Resound Pledge to Vote Card

    3. Send an Early Voting Application to your county election office by mail, fax, or in person.

      • Ensure you write your State license/ID number on the application, OR submit a photocopy of the same with your application

      • If you do not have a photo ID submit a Reansble in its place

    4. Track your ballot on VoterView to ensure it will arrive in time to be filled out and returned by close of polls on Election Day.

    5. Once received, fill out your ballot in accordance with the printed instructions accompanying your ballot.

    6. Return your ballot by mail, drop it off in person at your local elections office, or drop it off at one of the designated drop box locations.

    7. Track your ballot on VoterView to ensure it will arrived by close of polls on Election Day.

      • If your local office hasn't recieved your ballot, reach out as soon as possible to fix any issues.

    8. Make sure all your friends, family, and neighbors have also voted in this election cycle.
